Many congregational leaders who have participated in earlier sessions of Alban’s Shaping Holy Conversations seminar describe the experience as a catalyst for change. It confirmed their conviction that the time was ripe for pursuing planning and discernment in their congregations. Concepts from the book would crystallize in exciting “ah-ha” moments. Participating with their peers gave them valuable practice in how to start a holy conversation and how to see it through. When you come to the Shaping Holy Conversations seminar, you’ll have three days to explore and try out many of the planning tools recommended by Alban senior consultants Dan Hotchkiss, Alice Mann, and Gil Rendle. You’ll experience fellowship and fun in a hands-on learning environment. Your stay at the Oblate Renewal Center will provide welcomed time for relaxation and reflection.
