ABOUT THE CENTER

Techny Towers is a prominent landmark that was originally established as a seminary for the Society of the Divine Word. It now serves as an ecumenical center. Techny Towers has three chapels, spacious and peaceful grounds, comfortable guest accomodations, a dining hall, and a religious book store. Located in the northern suburbs of Chicago, it's in a quiet upscale area, and is short drive to downtown Chicago.

AIRPORT GROUND TRANSPORTATION

The Chicago O’Hare Airport is approximately 12 miles from the Techny Towers Conference & Retreat Center.

Continental Airport Express offers shuttle service between 6:00 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. An information counter is located in the baggage claim area inside terminals 1, 2, 3 and 5. They can be reached at 800-654-7871 for additional information.

Taxicabs are available on a first come, first serve basis from the lower level curbfront of all terminals. Shared ride service is available. There are no flat rates because all taxicabs run on meters.

Chicago

Chicago is a big city with a small town feel. It's got a lively blues scene, great parks along the lake front, and amazing cuisine from every culture. Winnetka, near Techny Towers, is made up of tranquil tree-shaded streets and family-oriented neighborhoods as well as three quaint in-town business districts that are home to a variety of shops and businesses.

Our Seminars make available the in depth knowledge and broad practical experience of our senior consultants in an interactive format with your peers.

Our Workshops draw on the gifts of Alban authors who themselves are usually practitioners of ministry who offer you the chance to explore with them the ways that their work in particular areas, or on special themes, can contribute to the growth and transformation of your own leadership gifts.

Our Webinars, Podcasts, and blog posts on the Alban Roundtable, as well as our Facebook page and Twitter feed, bring Alban resources right to you online, and in a timely fashion, in either live discussions or on-demand recordings that you can access at your convenience.

We also make available our programs and resources in Partnerships with organizations such as the Fund for Theological Education, the Lake Junaluska Conference and Retreat Center, Andover Newton Theological School, Center for Renewal, and the National Association of Church Business Administrators.

And we can provide Custom Events, Workshop Leaders, and Keynote Speakers for congregations, denominational gatherings, and other organizations who are seeking resources for their own programming needs.
