ABOUT THE CENTER

Simpsonwood Conference and Retreat Center is located on 230 wooded acres along the Chattahoochee River. It is just 25 miles north of Atlanta. Simpsonwood is operated by the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church. The site includes two miles of beautiful hiking trails, tennis courts and an outdoor swimming pool. Each guestroom features two double beds and a private bath.

AIRPORT GROUND TRANSPORTATION

Hartsfield Atlanta Airport is approximately 30 minutes from the retreat center. Ground transportation may be arranged for a fee through Sir Ellison Meeting and Travel Service at 404.244.8262 or toll free at 1.866.747.2661. Reservations should be made at least one week in advance. Sir Ellison will meet you in the baggage claim area of your airline holding a “Simpsonwood” sign. Our Seminars make available the in depth knowledge and broad practical experience of our senior consultants in an interactive format with your peers.

Our Workshops draw on the gifts of Alban authors who themselves are usually practitioners of ministry who offer you the chance to explore with them the ways that their work in particular areas, or on special themes, can contribute to the growth and transformation of your own leadership gifts.

Our Webinars, Podcasts, and blog posts on the Alban Roundtable, as well as our Facebook page and Twitter feed, bring Alban resources right to you online, and in a timely fashion, in either live discussions or on-demand recordings that you can access at your convenience.

We also make available our programs and resources in Partnerships with organizations such as the Fund for Theological Education, the Lake Junaluska Conference and Retreat Center, Andover Newton Theological School, Center for Renewal, and the National Association of Church Business Administrators.
