ABOUT THE CENTER

La Casa de Maria is an interfaith, non-profit, retreat and conference center, situated on 25 acres of a gentle oak woodland and citrus orchard, nestled at the foot of the majestic Santa Ynez mountains, offers an ideal setting for educational, religious, community service and human enrichment programs. “La Casa de Maria is one of the best U.S. retreats,” wrote U.S. News and World Report in its December 2005 issue. “When you walk through their gates, you enter a new and peaceful dimension.”

Getting There

Santa Barbara Airport is about 15 miles from La Casa. For transportation to and from the airport, please call Rose Cab at (805) 564-2600, Blue Dolphin Cab at (805) 966-6161, Checker Cab at (805) 560-8284 or SuperRide Airport Shuttle at (805) 683-9636. You need to book ahead of time. Callers should indicate that they are guests of La Casa de Maria and agree upon the rate by phone when booking the cab.

Los Angeles International Airport is also an option. People who fly into LAX can either take a commuter flight to SBA, rent a car, or take the Santa Barbara Airbus [phone: (805) 964-7759] which has a stop at the Radisson Hotel. Prepaid fares are discounted. A taxi can bring you the 4 ½ miles to La Casa.

Our Seminars make available the in depth knowledge and broad practical experience of our senior consultants in an interactive format with your peers.

Our Workshops draw on the gifts of Alban authors who themselves are usually practitioners of ministry who offer you the chance to explore with them the ways that their work in particular areas, or on special themes, can contribute to the growth and transformation of your own leadership gifts.

Our Webinars, Podcasts, and blog posts on the Alban Roundtable, as well as our Facebook page and Twitter feed, bring Alban resources right to you online, and in a timely fashion, in either live discussions or on-demand recordings that you can access at your convenience.
