ABOUT THE CENTER

The Franciscan Renewal Center, named Casa de Paz y Bien (House of Peace and Good) was founded in 1951 by the Fransican Friars. The center is located on 25 acres in scenic Paradise Valley between landmark Camelback and Mummy Mountains. All rooms include a private bath and individually controlled heating and air conditioning units. The grounds include a 60-foot swimming pool surrounded by a large deck as well as a heated spa.

The center closes at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. Check in is at 4:00 p.m. and check out is at 10:00 a.m. Rooms must be vacated and linen changed by the occupant by 10:00 a.m. on the day of departure. The center is not equipped to handle children. While there are no telephones or televisions in the guest rooms, there are easily accessible telephones on the grounds.

AIRPORT GROUND TRANSPORTATION

Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport is about a 20 minute drive from the retreat center.

The retreat center recommends Super Shuttle for transportation to and from the airport. Super Shuttle can be reached at (602) 244-9000 for additional information.

Our Seminars make available the in depth knowledge and broad practical experience of our senior consultants in an interactive format with your peers.

Our Workshops draw on the gifts of Alban authors who themselves are usually practitioners of ministry who offer you the chance to explore with them the ways that their work in particular areas, or on special themes, can contribute to the growth and transformation of your own leadership gifts.

Our Webinars, Podcasts, and blog posts on the Alban Roundtable, as well as our Facebook page and Twitter feed, bring Alban resources right to you online, and in a timely fashion, in either live discussions or on-demand recordings that you can access at your convenience.

Partnerships

We also make available our programs and resources in Partnerships with organizations such as the Fund for Theological Education, the Lake Junaluska Conference and Retreat Center, Andover Newton Theological School, Center for Renewal, and the National Association of Church Business Administrators.

And we can provide Custom Events, Workshop Leaders, and Keynote Speakers for congregations, denominational gatherings, and other organizations who are seeking resources for their own programming needs.
